夏县花椒产于山西省运城市夏县境内，夏县东有中条山，西有稷王山，鸣条岗横卧其中，地形概貌为“七山二川一丘陵”。根据《农产品地理标志登记管理办法》的规定以及夏县花椒特有的自然生态环境条件，划定夏县花椒农产品地理标志地域保护范围为埝掌镇、南大里乡、瑶峰镇、庙前镇共四个乡镇所属的36个村，具体包括：埝掌镇北坡、枣庙村、上冯、八峪、探马沟、孟家、三坡底村；南大里乡东王家、于家、马沟、苋坪村；瑶峰镇石泉沟、李家坪、韩家后、张家坪、尚家坪、窑头、神头岭、涧底河、裴裴岭、井曹、后坡村；庙前镇南吴、史家、上埝底、文家庄、陈庄、庙凹、龙卧、桑村、虎庙、井沟、西村、南岭、梨树坪、下庄村，共计4个乡镇36个村。地理坐标为东经111°8′55″—111°25′41″，北纬35°0′18″—35°16′46″之间，平均海拔690--982米，总生产面积2670公顷，年总产量3600吨。
